Level Agency has been recognized by Great Place to Work® and Fortune as one of the 2022 Best Workplaces in Advertising & Marketing™. Earning a spot means Level is considered one of the best companies to work for in the country, an honor we don’t take lightly. 

Level was eligible for the award because we were named a Great Place to Work® in 2021. While there is no shortage of awards for digital marketing agencies, this is one we’re particularly proud to receive. It is a testament to our culture and our adherence to Level’s core values—PROUD: Partnership, Radical Candor, Ownership, Urgency, and Data-Driven Decisions—which we take very seriously. We even give out the PROUDY award twice a year to celebrate those team members who most exemplify our values. (Yes, “The Office” fans… it sounds like the Dundie, but we promise it’s not.) 

When we shifted to a remote-first workplace following the first phase of the COVID-19 pandemic, we knew maintaining our culture would be a challenge. So, we developed a culture blueprint to ensure that we didn’t lose the essence of our rigorous, collaborative, and fun team dynamic. We gathered feedback from our staff through surveys and interviews to determine how the perception of our culture aligned with our vision. The insights gained supported some clear ongoing initiatives to preserve the behaviors, attitudes, and camaraderie we shared when we were physically together every day. 

This focus on culture, rooted in our diversity, equity, and inclusivity priorities, is largely responsible for our employees recognizing Level as a Great Place to Work® last year. We feel it every day during team meetings, strategy sessions, and company events. But we love metrics here, and the 2022 Best Workplaces in Advertising & Marketing™ achievement is a nice indicator of cultural success. 

At the end of the day, what truly makes us one of the 2022 Best Workplaces in Advertising & Marketing™ is our people. They’re smart and curious, and they drive our hypothesis-driven “Test. Learn. Grow.” framework. We also have some of the most talented people you’ll ever encounter in a workplace—artists, singers, actors, comedians—and we encourage them to bring these pieces of themselves to work every day. The best outcomes are achieved when individuals share their uniqueness. This is especially true in marketing, where human values, nuances, and behaviors are so critical to the success of the stories we tell.
