New LinkedIn Business Page Features

Late last year, LinkedIn updated its Company Pages, adding new fields and new sharing functionality. If you have a business page on LinkedIn, consider kicking the tires. New fields include:

Tagline – a short (120 character) summary in the header
Custom button – a new button in your page header that can drive traffic to a URL of your choice
Communities – organized around hashtags, communities allow for easier engagement with your posts

These display across your profile, and can help drive traffic for lead capture or other purposes.Join communities that suit your content strategy, and include them in your posts (we just joined #leadgeneration and #digitalmarketing). Posting in these communities makes it easier for others to discover and engage with your content.Perform a quarterly audit to make sure that your content is up to date. Hootsuite identifies 7 tips for making your page compelling. You may find that you’ve overlooked fields like Specialties (think of them as keywords) or uploading a header image (1536 x 768 pixels).As always, talk to your agency partner for more ideas on how to optimize your LinkedIn profile toward your goals.
